Work can be enjoyable, but after a year of continuous effort, it often becomes a little exhausting. To welcome the New Year with renewed energy, inspiration, and a touch of appreciation, a yearly retreat is essential for embarking on a fresh journey. At SWISH, we recognise the importance of this tradition. This year, we chose Bhawal Resort & Spa in Gazipur, Dhaka, as our retreat destination.
Setting Out on Our Journey
Our adventure began on December 24, 2024, with 115 members in attendance. The excitement had been building for nearly three months prior, with meticulous planning taking place throughout the year. The team dedicated significant effort to ensure the retreat’s success, organising every detail and thoughtfully selecting each element.
On that cheerful winter morning, everyone arrived at the office on time. We left the SWISH Bangladesh Headquarters at 8:10 a.m. In high spirits, everyone boarded the luxurious coasters, where a hearty breakfast was served. The atmosphere was lively as team members chatted and gathered during the ride.
A Day Full of Activities
The entire team reached the venue at 11 a.m. After refreshing themselves, the sports and team-building activities began. The group was divided into four teams: Asia, Oceania, Europe, and Antarctica. The games were not just about fun; they also focused on team building, strategy and winning. Activities included tug-of-war, sack races, and a special game for the girls called Hopscotch Ring and Hula hoop. Notably, Antarctica won two games through their unique strategy and effort, and the gaming session was filled with excitement and cherished moments. Following the games, a team photo session took place, and everyone enjoyed a super delicious buffet lunch. Then they rushed to swim in the vast pool and afterwards Swimming.
Inspirational Moments
After the fun sports, swimming and hearty lunch, the most anticipated formal session began in the afternoon. The theme for the upcoming year was announced: “Speeding Towards Future.” In this session all the Heads of Departments (HOD) gave their valuable and inspiring speeches. The SWISH Group Chairman and Managing Director also addressed the team, offering words of encouragement and inspiration and the new year’s business strategy.
Next came the highly awaited awards announcement. The Honor of Dedication Award at the SWISH Annual Retreat 2025 was awarded to Mr. Anis, Mr. Islam, Mr. Faruk, Mr. Aman, and Mr. Suman from Bangladesh, followed by an unforgettable helicopter ride with their beloved wives. The joy continued with a delightful lunch alongside the Honourable Chairman and Managing Director of SWISH Group. Mr. Dixion and Ms. Tina from China also received the Honor of Dedication, too while Omio Joy Nag was awarded the Star Performer of the Year Award, and The Five Years Dedication Award was presented to Alok Bisshwas. Mr. Rupu received the Service Hero Award.
Celebrating Together
Following the award giving session, a grand buffet took place, culminating in a cultural gathering where all members of the SWISH team participated. The day ended on a high note, brimming with inspiration, speed and positive energy.
A Bittersweet Farewell
The morning of the 25th began with a lavish buffet breakfast. After one last photoshoot and oath taking session, the team headed back to Dhaka with joyful hearts, albeit a bit sad that the retreat had come to an end. This retreat not only refreshed our minds but also inspired us a lot, to achieve the new goals following “Speeding Towards Future”.
The SWISH team enjoyed every moment, and we look forward to carrying this renewed spirit into the New Year!
